Free Healthy Recipe - BBQ beef patties with tomato salad

Dairy free, Gluten free, Low carbohydrate, Low GI, Low sugar, Wheat Free

This is an all time favourite with many of The Greengrocer Diet Tribe members. It's so easy to whip up and add to for other people in the family who are not trying to lose weight. Copies of The Greengrocer's Diet are available through the website The Greengrocer's Diet

Ingredients
320 grams lean rump steak, roughly minced
1 Spanish onion finely diced
3 large vine ripened tomatoes roughly chopped
½ tsp sea salt
2 cloves garlic, crushed
1 handful rocket

Method

In a medium bowl, mix steak and onion until well combined; season with cracked black pepper.
Using your hands, form 4 even sized patties.
Brush patties on both sides with ˝ tbs of the oil and set aside at room temperature.
In a medium bowl, combine the tomatoes, remaining oil, salt, garlic and cracked black pepper. Set aside at room temperature.
Preheat a barbecue or grill pan. Cook the patties for approximately 4 to 5 minutes on each side. Remove from the heat, cover loosely with aluminium foil and let rest for about 5 minutes. Arrange the rocket on 2 serving plates and top with the tomato salad. Serve with accompanying patties and wholegrain mustard.
