Free Healthy Recipe - Caramelised Custard Apple Bruschetta

Give your kids a piece of custard apple bruschetta on the first day of the school holidays and they'll really think the holiday has got off to a good start. Substitute walnut sourdough for wholegrain if nuts are a problem.

Ingredients
2 slices walnut sourdough, toasted
80 grams low fat ricotta
1 pinch cinnamon
Method

In a small bowl combine the ricotta with the maple syrup.
Spread this mixture over the sourdough toast. Top with generous pieces of fresh custard apple.
Sprinkle lightly with cinnamon.
Lower grill heat to moderate and cook until the sugar begins to turn golden and the bread is toasted around the edges.
